subject of his affair is the

adventuresome round of plot
twists that build to a
surprise-filled climax. Very
well made, good video look
and feel, and it even has a
great line or two - "why did
you hit him so hard?"

features Batman fighting his expected nemesis

Oh boy, two new movies from BMW Films!
BMW Films is a commercial site that sponsors famous filmmakers and
directors to create exciting short films that push the envelope of
creativity and style. One thing in common, somewhere in them, a BMW is
showing off. Check off the two new flicks on the site Winner of
the Los Angels International Short Film Festival for Best Action Short
and directed by John Woo, Hostage
stars Clive Owen, Maury Chaykin and Kathryn Morris. Ticker
was produced by the Ridley brothers, Scott and Tony, and was directed by
Joe Carnahan. Again featuring Clive Owen as the BMW driver, is also
stars Don Cheadle and F. Murray Abraham. To best appreciate these, you
might want to download the 80MB files and watch them as they stream off
your hard drive.

Tech Noon. This is brilliant. Great concept, wonderful production

world? Check out the Phone Bashing
web site - these guys hate cell phones
and the people who yak on them in public spaces. They began by dressing
up inside of a stolen mobile phone suit, and then grabbing phones from
people using them. And then they recorded the thefts on tape. Check it
out...
Do you worship Detroit Iron? Check out Dialing
the Devil, an incredible short film written and directed by Toon
Aerts. This is brilliant. We were blown away - not only is the film
great, but the entire web site design and concept around it is
incredible as well. Includes adult language and themes. For you
producers, the site includes a discussion of how the film was made and
how they achieved its unique look.
Flat
is a great, award-winning dramatic film. Only five minutes in length,
I am sure you will be entertained and surprised. You will find
it hosted at the SanityCheck
web site that also includes a bevy of other short videos produced
by the same team. Some are standalone shorts, others are part of a
series. Many of these were produced for a local community TV station.
Check it out. In addition to being an especially well designed web
site, Sanity Check offers access to music and other content.
From the international community, we found this short film on the BritShorts
web site. You will like this well produced and edited drama, "A
Shot in the Dark." A famous actress and her helpless infant
are being stalked...will the stalker get his shot?.

to see the cool "BlockBuster the
Movie". Two guys, one girl and a whole
lot of action - this
short by Jacob Jocko shows what can be done on a limited budget and
lot of imagination. In addition, the web site design is very
interesting and provides a wide variety of streaming and download
formats to watch the flick.

with animation and special effects, this short documents what can happen
when you get caught in a traffic jam near LAX. Created to help get the
filmmakers a deal in Hollywood, the web site includes details of how the
film was made as well as other juicy tidbits. If you are an aspiring
filmmaker, this is a have to visit web site.
